Interior Concepts by Wanda
Wanda Horton is a popular interior designer in the Charlotte area who came to me with the desire to establish a web presence for her already well-respected business. Primarily, she wanted to use the site to share with potential clients her concept of interior design, variety of services, and past work. Wanda was very interested in using Flash to create a stylish, atmospheric quality to the site to show the impact beauty and design can have on a website as well in the home. Usually considered a mistake in more function-driven sites, an interesting Flash introduction was added to welcome visitors and make a visual impact. I created a movie that shows the site being built layer upon layer, which is similar to interior design itself.

Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District
The Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District needed a reconstruction of their current site to achieve better organization of information, intuitive navigation, multiple template designs incorporating photographs while keeping download time to a minimum, and a consistent site with an appealing overall look. To accomplish these objectives, it was necessary to create a completely new site. To improve organization and navigation, I worked with the staff to group the pages of the site into three categories. I implemented popup explanations of what the user could find in each page as he scrolls over the links. To keep the download time short, I reduced the picture sizes as much as possible without causing degradation in quality and coded the site in a way that would take advantage of all white space and the smallest graphic file format. To create a consistent look, we kept the Barton Springs header on every page and used the same fonts and colors. I also created a style sheet that would make it easy for the staff to keep their updates and additions to the site consistent throughout.

The Stoneworks at Dripping Springs
The Stoneworks at Dripping Springs is a stone fabrication and manufacturing company that needed a website to promote their services. The company came to me with only a few photographs of their work and addresses of other sites they liked. I created the site design, logo, layout, navigation, graphics, and some of the content. I used a combination of Dreamweaver and hand coding on this site. For the most part, I laid out the pages in Dreamweaver and then edited the code by hand to reduce unnecessary coding.

Trajecta
I rebuilt Trajecta's website with the goal of achieving a coherence between the website messaging and the new marketing material with the additional task of emphasizing the release of their new software product, Virdix. The overall site content and navigation already existed. An in-house graphic designer provided the graphics. I was responsible for using her graphics, arranging the designs, and putting the site online. I set up the pages with layers in Dreamweaver and also edited them by hand.
